Mia Levy, M.D., Ph.D.
Mia Levy, M.D., Ph.D., is Chief Medical Officer at Foundation Medicine. With nearly two decades of clinical experience as a medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer, and as a nationally recognized leader in biomedical informatics and precision oncology, Dr.Levy has devoted her career to improving the lives of people living with cancer.
Prior to joining Foundation Medicine, Dr. Levy served in dual roles as Director of the Cancer Center at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and System Vice President for Cancer Services at Rush System for Health. She has extensive experience in developing systems that operationalize data to support decisions in cancer care and research. Dr. Levy led the development of My Cancer Genome, an international knowledge resource for patients and physicians designed to guide treatment decisions based on tumor genetics.
Before serving at Rush, Dr. Levy worked at Vanderbilt University, where she was an Associate Professor of Cancer Research, Associate Professor of Bioinformatics and Medicine, and the Director of Cancer Health Informatics and Strategy.
Dr. Levy earned an M.D. from Rush University School of Medicine and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University.
